Jabin has been playing the saxophone for over 20 years. He started performing jazz professionally
as a teenager in various groups from solo to jazz big band.
Jabin is involved in many styles of music including jazz, funk, drum & bass and reggae.
After graduating with a bachelor of music from the Massey University Conservatorium of Music, he
spent two years with roots reggae group ‘Cornerstone Roots’.
Currently Jabin is a member of the double platinum selling Wellington group ‘The Black Seeds’ and
performs around NZ and the world.
He is also part of a collaboration of Wellington musicians entitled ‘The Resole Project’.
Producing his own grooves that fuse electronic beats and all manner of other funky sounds is what
keeps him busy the rest of the time!
